How to travel to Saint Martin?

If you wish to travel to Saint Martin, you can take one of the two airports on the island. In the north of the island (in the French part), in Grand Case, you'll find Grand Case l'Espérance Airport (SFG). It serves regional destinations such as Guadeloupe, Saint Barthélemy, and Martinique. It's a small airport from where you can rent a car to explore the island. The airlines serving this airport are Air Caraïbes and St Barth Commuter.

The second airport - Princess Juliana (SXM) - is located in the southern part of the island in the Dutch territory. This international airport serves more destinations than Grand Case l'Espérance Airport, including flights to Canada (Toronto and Montreal), the United States (Miami, Charlotte, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Chicago), Europe (Paris, Amsterdam), and many regional Caribbean destinations (Fort de France, Pointe à Pitre, San Juan, Curaçao, Anguilla, Saint Kitts, Saint Eustache, Santo Domingo, Saint Barth, Saba...).

It is also possible to travel to Saint Martin by taking a ferry from Anguilla and Saint Barthélemy. You can reach the town of Marigot in Saint Martin from the port of Gustavia in Saint Barthélemy. The crossing takes about 30 minutes. Several companies operate round trips such as Direct Ferrie or Voyager.

From Anguilla, it is also possible to access Saint Martin by boat, either with the public ferry (around $20) or via private companies such as GB Express or Calypso. The price is higher when using a private provider ($60). The journey takes about 45 minutes.
