The Savane aux esclaves - Martinique
The Savane aux esclaves, also known as the "Village d'Antan Lontan" is located in the Trois Ilets countryside. It traces the history of slavery through 15 traditionnal houses equiped with text panels. Open from 9 am to 12 am and 2 pm to 5.30 pm every Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 12 am on Sunday. For more information on the entrance fee, don't hesitate to have a look on their website.Small shop with souvenirs and fresh local drinks are sold on site. Home made cassavas are sold every first saturday of the month.
