Saint-François

Saint-François is one of the main resort towns in Guadeloupe, located on the eastern tip of Grand-Terre. This town offers many activities involving both sea and nature. The marina proposes many nautical activities (kitesurfing, funboarding and surfing) and day trips, specifically to Petite Terre, a nature reserve, a must-see stop! Many bars, restaurants and clothes stores can also be found at the marina.

Golf enthusiasts can play on the 18-hole course at the Marina, designed by the famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones.

The magnificent Pointe des Châteaux, a protected landmark combining historical heritage and exceptional biodiversity, can also be found in François. The discovery trail at the Pointe in Cabritis will unveil Amerindian secrets, while at the same time making you aware of the need to protect this fragile environment. It's also a great spot for whale watching from January to April.

White sand and coconut trees best describe the beaches. The plage of Raisins Clairs is a particulary good spot for the family (with its easy parking, picnic tables and showers).
