On Martinique’s southern Caribbean coast, Le Marin is a nautical town. Its peaceful port, tucked into a protective bay, welcomes up to 4,000 boats a year and is one of the most attractive stops in the maritime realm of the Caribbean.
From the marina, your whole party would love to climb aboard Aquabulle, for an outing of underwater sights. Thanks to a glass-walled compartment, you can discover the beautiful coral reefs in full comfort from the boat! For the snorkelers in the group, head to Point Borgnesse. To get to that beach, (on N5, before arriving to Marin), take the steep path and you will be rewarded by the diversity of sandbars and their crystal clear waters.
This town is an ideal jump-off point for all the nautical outings in the Caribbean Sea. From the Marina, you can get on a catamaran to explore Martinique and its sand bars. The majority of companies also offer transport and visits to neighboring St Lucia. There’s a lot to do should you choose to visit: Friday Night Street Party, shopping in Castries or exploring the Cocoa Plantations after having stopped in Twin Peaks Bay (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Finally, the Marin marina also has a number of bars and restaurants. We’ll mention especially l’Annexe, where you can try meat and fish pierrades with homemade fries.
