I am Christelle, explorer in Martinique
I personally did the photo shooting and wrote the description below. The main assets of this holiday rental are:
Peacefull and quiet setting, perfect to chill out
Large deck with private pool and sofa beans
The beach house Aqua is located in a peaceful fishing village on the northern coast of Martinique. The beauty of this site is not immediately obvious from its unassuming facade. It's only once you have crossed its threshold that you can fully take in the stylish interior of this family home, renovated in 2014 and elegantly decorated by its two young owners.
The dining room boasts a mahogany dining table for six. A large bay window floods the adjoining living room in soft, natural light. With its plush sofa and flat screen TV, this room provides an ideal spot for relaxation. You also have the option of retiring to one of the three air conditioned bedrooms. The first bedroom adjoins the dining room and features a completely partitionless living area. From its double bed, you're only a few short steps away from a slate-tiled walk-in shower. The stylishly decorated second bedroom features a small gray-toned bathroom with an inviting walk-in shower. The third bedroom offers a sea view from its mahogany bed. Its beige-toned bathroom offers installations similar to the other two bathrooms.
It's now time to step outdoors!
You can while away the hours on a spacious pergola-covered patio. The fully-fitted kitchen is very nicely decorated and its countertop overlooking the patio makes it possible to cook and chat at the same time. From the patio, wood stairs lead up to a 960 sq ft deck offering a spectacular view of the sea. Comfortable deck chairs, a gas barbecue and small swimming pool (the punch bowl!) add the finishing touches to this superb beach house.
Lastly, from the patio, a small gate opens onto a peaceful beach covered in black sand or pebbles depending on the tides. Take a swim in the turquoise-colored sea or slip on a mask and flippers to discover the seabed. On cloudy days, there's no need to worry, the owners have thought of everything by equipping the beach house with a pool table.
On your holiday schedule—sea, swimming pool and relaxation! Don't forget to reserve a few days to discover the island, the North Caribbean has so much to offer: a zoo in Carbet, the Neisson and JM distilleries, the possibility of climbing Mt. Pélée, visiting Saint Pierre, les Gorges de la Falaise, hiking le Prêcheur Grand Rivière, etc.
You can also find all our vacation rentals in Carbet.
The best thing about Villa Aqua is the location right on the beach, and the large sundeck with small pool for cooling off. Breakfast on the deck and enjoying a cocktail watching the sunset were highlights. The master bedroom bed is quite comfortable and there is plenty of hot water. The house has good wifi and everything worked. Note that the house is comfortable but not luxurious, and is located in a downscale neighborhood that is out of the way - it is safe but there are shacks located right around the house, which was a little surprising to us. It is much more of a small beach house than a "villa." Because of the location, plan to rent a car to get to nicer restaurants and sights. Carbet is closest decent town for food, about 10 minutes away by car and not walkable - Petitbonum, Kay Jacko and Beach Grill are casual, good restaurants and right on the beach. Saint Pierre is about a 20 minute drive with much better restaurants - Alsace, La Tamaya and Le Reservoir are all great choices. The volcano is about a 40 minute drive, but there are interesting historical sites in Saint Pierre. All in all, it was a very relaxing stay and we thank Johan for lending us his house for the week!

Thanks a lot Michelle for your nice comment. We are glad you spent nice vacation at the villa aqua!
Johan and villaveo team were quick with responses and provided accurate and helpful information. Pictures do make the ocean water seem bluer than depicted. Loved the addition of the paddleboards and the treats left from Johan and ivan. Johan owns a delicious restaurant and bar a few km away!

Dear Leslie, thank you for taking the time to assess the villa. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at the villa Aqua and hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you again in Martinique!
Villa Aqua was a great value with a great location overlooking the sea. The villa was easy to find and the owner was very helpful. The location on Martinique itself was a little out of the way for visiting the Southern part of the Island, but in a great location for checking out Mount Pelee, Saint-Pierre, and the Northwest coast. The villa itself worked well. The outside space was phenomenal and we spent most of our time at the villa on the patio. The kitchen was small, but clean and workable with good appliances. The bathrooms could have used a little more storage space for toiletries, but the beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms were air conditioned. Villaveo was great to work with -- and helped solve a problem on our day of arrival with speed and kindness.
